Come to your senses: in fact come DELIGHT your senses on the shores of Lake Orta in Italy with your hosts Jennifer Haydu and Rob Wilks. Gather with an intimate group of fellow travelers for a sensual dive into this unique Italian community and landscape. There is a huge difference between passing through a place to consume an experience, and pausing in place, with all your senses open to learn, to grow and to steep in gratitude.
We offer you the latter, with true delight in sharing this incredible place in all its colors, flavors, and textures. Our days together will alternate between shared movement practices (yoga, dance, partner massage) and bodywork at our home base Centro d'Ompio and off site excursions lake side and countryside. We will visit a Unesco Heritage Site, farmers markets and hike trails linking small villages around Lake Orta.
And oh the food! Eating in Italy is truly a sensual experience, from the produce to the coffee to the most delicious hand crafted pizza and we will revel in it. We will dish up delicious meals together in the kitchen of Casa Felicina, the historic farm house we will call home, and we will have several chances to taste the specialties in our local eateries as well.
Of course, sometimes your senses need stillness and simple sunbathing, which you can do with the peacocks at the pool. You will drop into an unpretentious, uncrowded, off the beaten path adventure with us, and make memories and friendships to last a lifetime. You will book your own flights and we will help coordinate your transportation to Centro d'Ompio. You can participate in all activities, or choose private time whenever you need it. Accommodations will be in shared rooms, partners and friends will be grouped when possible. Massage sessions/ partner massage lessons can be arranged during free time on some of our days together.
Bonus Add On:
If you would like to extend your stay and hike in Val Grand National Park, Rob and Jen will be heading there for a few days to adventure in the alps. Join us on the trail to Pogallo, a tiny hamlet high in the mountains, past waterfalls and stunning views. This adventure requires strong fitness, uphill stamina and proper gear. We will arrange accommodations based on total number of fellow travelers.
